INGREDIENTS
4 cups white flour
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 tsp. salt
water
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the flour, salt and cut in shortening. Add enough water to dough pliable. Knead the dough until it is soft; should be pliable enough to stretch. Form the dough with greased hands into small balls about the size of eggs. Cover with a dry cloth and let stand a 1/2 hour. Roll dough onto a floured surface and into an 8" diameter disc and fry on a griddle.
