Corn Bread

INGREDIENTS

1 cup flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 cup milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Stir in cornmeal and mix together. Melt butter, add egg and milk and combine well. Add dry mixture to wet mixture until just combined. Pour into oblong pan and bake at 375 degrees F. for 15-20 mins. or until golden brown. Cut into squares before serving.
