Easy Pizza Dough

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg. Active dry yeast
1 2/3 cups water, warm (105 to 115 degrees F.)
1 tbsp. Olive oil
1 tsp. Sugar
4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp. Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Grease four 9-inch metal baking pans. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. In a large bowl, sprinkle yeast over warm water. Add oil and sugar. Mix with a fork to combine. Add flour and salt to yeast mixture. Mix with hands to form a stiff dough.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 2 monutes. Place dough into an oiled bowl and turn once to oil surface. Cover and allow to rise for 50 minutes to 1 hour in a warm place.

Puch down dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and divide into four pieces. Roll each piece into a rough circle. Place each piece into a pan. With fingers, spread dough so that it comes approximately 3/4-inch up the sides of the pan. Reduce oven heat to 400 degrees F. and bake dough for 15 minutes until crust is golden brown. Top with desired toppings, such as pizza sauce and shredded chhese and continue baking for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
