INGREDIENTS
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup self-rising flour
2 cups milk, whole
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
1 tsp. beef base (or beef bouillon), dissolved in a few tsps. water
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large saucepan, place ground beef and season with salt and pepper then brown ground beef until done; drain. Continue to cook add butter and when melted stir in flour. Add half of milk and bring mixture to a boil; adding more milk as needed to desired consistency. Mixture will thicken while cooking. After desired consistency add salt, pepper to taste. Add Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and beef base to mixture. Serve over toast or biscuits.
