Oyster Stew

INGREDIENTS

1 qt. oysters
4 c. scalded milk
1/2 T. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/4 c. butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Drain oysters. Heat liquid to boiling point. Then strain, add oysters, and cook until oysters are plump and edges begin to curl. Add hot milk,salt, pepper and butter.
