INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground beef
3/4 C. chopped green pepper
1 - 1 lb. can (2 C.) dark red kidney beans, drained or
pinto beans
1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 C. chopped onion
1-1 lb. or 2 C. tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
INSTRUCTIONS
In heavy skillet cook meat, onion and green pepper until meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Note: 1 cup uncooked pinto beans equals 2 cups cooked.
