Beef Vegetable Soup

INGREDIENTS

3 lb. beef, roast or ground beef, cooked, chopped or diced
2 tbsp. margarine or butter
1 large can tomatoes, whole, crushed
1 can tomato juice
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup celery, diced
1 can whole kernel corn
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup potatoes, cut up
1 can lima beans, drained
6 cups water
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 tsp. garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large saucepan, saute celery, green peppers and onions in butter until tender. Add meat, crushed tomatoes, tomato juice and water. Add remaining vegetables and seasonings; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 1 to 3 hours. Remove bay leaves and skim off excess fat. Serve hot.
