Ambrosia Cake

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp butter flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 cups sifted cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
Orange Filling (see frostings and fillings for recipe)
Divinity Frosting (see frostings and fillings for recipe)
3/4 cup coconut

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add egg one at a time, beating well after each. Add flavoring; beat 2 minutes on high speed using eletric mixer.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating on low speed just until blended. Beat on high speed for 1 minute. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-in. cake pans. Bake 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until cake test done. cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely. Spread Orange Filling between layers; spread top and sides of cake with Divinity Frosting. Sprinkle with coconut.
