Chocolate Pudding Cake

INGREDIENTS

1 cup flour, sifted
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup boiling water
1 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

In a mixing bowl add sifted flour, baking powder, salt, 2 1/2 tbsp. cocoa and 3/4 cup sugar. Add vanilla, milk and melted butter. Pour mixture in a prepared greased 8-inch square pan. Mix 2 tbsp. cocoa, brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 cup boiling water; mix well. Pour over the top of the batter mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool some then turn out upside down onto a serving dish. Best served with vanilla ice cream.
