INGREDIENTS

1 pkg spice cake mix
3 tbs. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 cups uncooked rolled oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients; blend thoroughly by hand to form firm dough. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Note: A teaspoon makes cookies about 1/2 inch in diameter. Use more than a teaspoon if you want bigger cookies. Cookies will cook faster if you use an older cookie sheet. Usually done before 10 minutes. You might want to cook them at 350 degrees instead of 375 degrees. Cook cookies in the middle of the oven. If cookies brown on the bottom before their brown enough on top, put them on the top-shelf for a minute or two, to brown top of cookie. Makes 4-4 1/2 dozen (medium size cookies).
