INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 cup (6 oz. pkg.) chocolate chips
1 cup salt cocktail peanuts, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl combine brown sugar, shortening and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add one egg. Continue to beat. Then add flour mixture alternately with 1/4 cup of milk.
Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped salted cocktail peanuts.
Drop by level tbsp. onto greased cookie sheets, and bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
