Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 stick of margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
10 fl. oz. whole wheat
10 fl. oz. rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream 1 stick (1/4 lb.) of margarine. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar. Blend, then add 1 egg, 1 tbsp. mailk, 1 tsp. vanilla. Blend, then add 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt. Blend, then add whole wheat, rolled oats and raisins.

This mixture should be very stiff. If not add a little more oatmeal. Spoon on greased baking sheets (don't press down!) then bake in an oven preheated at 350 degrees F. until golden brown on bottom. 8 - 9 minutes.
