Butter Cream Frosting

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs. Confectioners' powder sugar
1/2 pt. (1 cup = 12 egg yolks) egg yolks
1 1/4 lb. butter, sweet
4 oz. corn starch
2 tsp. vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

Warm up yolks and 1 1/2 lbs. of the sugar together for a few minutes and then beat until light and leave it stand to cool.

Now cream up the balance of the ingredients until very light and creamy, add the vanilla to flavor when creamed.

Mix the two slowly, but do not over-mix or you will make it too heavy.
