Chocolate Icing (for doughnuts)

INGREDIENTS

2 tsp. better or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 oz. chocolate square
1/4 cup cream
1 1/2 tsp. white corn syrup
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted

INSTRUCTIONS

In a double boiler and over simmering water; add butter, chocolate, 1/4 cup sugar corn syrup and cream. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Cool to lukewarm. Add vanilla and thoroughly mix in powdered sugar. If icing is too stiff add additional cream a teaspoon at a time until mixture spreads easily.
