INGREDIENTS
6 semi-sweet chocolate square (Bakers 8 oz indiv. wrapped semi sweet choc.)
1 heaping cup sugar
7 eggs
cocoa
1/2 pt. whipping cream (cool whip: optional)
Vanilla flavoring
INSTRUCTIONS
Separate eggs. Beat yolks well; add sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add the melted choc. (melt over hot water) Blend into the egg mixture. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Fold into mixture. Pour mixture into well greased, floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Cover with slightly damp paper towels (don't let towels touch cake). Cool completely. Loosen from sides of pan. Sprinkle with a little cocoa. Put wax paper on top of pan and invert. Whip cream; flavor with vanilla. Spread on top and roll. Easier to slice cake lengthwise and cut into 1/2 or 1/4. Put cream between layers.
