INGREDIENTS
FILLING
2 cups stoned dates
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
CRUST
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups rolled oats raw
3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix filling ingredients all together. Cook over a slow fire until mushy.
Combine and mix CRUST ingredients together. Divide crust mixture into two parts. Put one part in well greased and prepared pan. Spread date filling mixture over this crust part. Place other half of crust mixture over top. Bake in slow oven (300 - 325 degrees F.) 1 hour. Cut while warm.
