Old-Fashioned Mystery Pudding

INGREDIENTS

1 can (30oz) fruit cocktail
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine fruit cocktail including syrup with egg and vanilla. Add flour, sugar, soda and salt which have already been mixed together. Pour into a greased 9 X 12 inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serve hot topped with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
