INGREDIENTS
PASTRY INGREDIENTS:
1 - 3 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter (oleo)
1 cup sifted flour
FILLING:
1 egg
1 tbs. soft butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
2/3 cup broken nuts
INSTRUCTIONS
PASTRY:
Blend pastry ingredients and chill for at least 1 hour. Roll into little balls and press into small muffin tins.
FILLING:
Mix filling ingredients together. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp. grated nuts over pastry in the tins; cover with filling; put more nuts on top.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 24 pecan pies.
