INGREDIENTS
1 lb. dry lima beans
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 ham hocks
1 small onion, chopped
1 qt water
1 T. salt
2 T. bacon grease
1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Soak beans overnight. Drain water from beans and add 1 quart water to beans and other ingredients. Bring to boil then turn to simmer adn simmer for 4 hours. Add hot water as needed.
